The Multimillion Dollar Ideas Just Keep Coming!

So Sunday I went to Six Flags in Arlington for free! I have a friend who works there and he took me along for an afternoon of fun and frolicking in the winter weather. In an effort to recapture my youth, I had the brilliant idea to ride the Runaway Mine Train. Somewhere long the way my back was snapped in a way that no back should snap. I ended up pulling a muscle in my back. It wasn't too bad on Sunday but by Monday morning I felt like I couldn't move. After many many doses of advil, I finally feel better today. I've decided that my next multimillion dollar idea is going to be setting up a chiropractor's booth outside the Mine Train. I'll make a killing!

Of course, in addition to my pulled muscle, I had stomach ache yesterday and today I have crick in my neck. *sigh* I'm falling apart.

She lives!

Yes, I know, you all thought I was gone forever, but alas I am back. My life has been extremely boring lately and nothing seemed quite blog-worthy. However, I have come back, cooking skills in tow. I have become a regular little chef! Would you like a list of things I can now cook? I knew you would! I can cook:
-Banana Nut Bread
-Just-Add-Water Muffins
-Chicken Spaghetti
-Banana Pudding
-Stuffing

Impressive eh? I thought so too.

Also, I've heard from Casey and she made it to her tech school just fine. Her roomie is apparently aka Satan. Within the first 15 minutes of living together the roomie was already talking about how they were going to have to change roommates because Casey likes her things to be "perfect." Hello? It's the air force. You get in trouble if it's not perfect! Also, one of their new freedoms at tech school is the ability to have personal photos in their room. She got a picture frame and put all her photos in it and then told her roomie "Hey, I got my pictures!" Her roomie's response was, "If I cared, I'd look."

About a week ago I went to lunch with my grandmother in this retirement community she's thinking about moving to. There was one obnoxious lady at lunch who almost single-handedly made my grandmother decide not to live there. Not once but twice during her meal, she got up and went into the kitchen of the restaurant. Apparently, she didn't think her server was capable of fetching her a bottle of ketchup or a refill on her drink.

Last night I went to a Sandi Patti concert at a local church with my mom. While we were driving there, my mom was telling me about a lady who was going to be there named Lisa. Lisa is 29 and has down syndrome. She also LOVES Sandi Patti. She has learned sign language and can sign all of Sandi's songs. There is nothing Lisa would love more than the opportunity to sign a song with Sandi Patti. So when we got to the church and got to our seats, we spotted Lisa. When the concert started, we were actually watching Lisa more than Sandi as she signed all the songs. She was so excited just to be there in the audience. About halfway through the concert, Sandi invited Lisa up on stage and Lisa got to sign a song with Sandi. It was just the neatest thing to sit there and watch what you knew was someone's dream come true right before your eyes. She was so excited that it just brought me to tears. It was worth the cost of admission just to see that one song.

Anyway, I'm sure I've bored you all enough for one night. Goodnight and I will write again soon!

Movie Quote of the Day:
Peter: Well I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door--that way Lumbergh can't see me. heh--after that I sorta space out for an hour. I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual work.
